Spyder Elite is the colorimeter, which is not suitable for all W-LED/RGB LED/Wide Gamut Panels.

Your R/G/B Calibration Gamma Curves show no partial alignment between them.

    Just found this quite funny.

"Things you don't want to see when the Dell technician comes by to switch your panel"

    Re-booked for tomorrow with a H8D3k instead

Strange, Bios A07 is down from dell. At least I cannot download it, it is missing. I tried something other from the same support page, and it worked.

I always wait some time before using a bios update. I wonder if they taken it down, or it is just a technical isue.

Here are the actual measurements for the 200 nit profile that I posted in detail. I think the calibrated curve is very well aligned. The three color lines and the target line are pretty much covering each other up. I can see the blue line poking out just a little from the target curve, but not much. The correction applied is very liner in reducing the blue channel and boosting the red channel to move the native white point down to 6500K. Overall, I think this shows a well calibrated panel for the sRGB color space.

Please remember, I am not saying that this is a reference panel. I am saying that it is a good panel that calibrates well for sRGB work. It is better than a lot of laptop panels.

I know that your standards are very high and I have more than one calibrator lined up for testing the IPS display when I receive my other M6600. Hopefully the IPS panel will be closer to your standards. Note that I did not say meet, but be closer. I know how you love the Eizos :)

Acutally Spyder 3 Elite is also the software. Spyder3Elite 4.0.2 to be exact.

You are correct. The Spyder 3 Elite did have some issues with calibrating some wide gamut panels with earlier versions of their software. This was corrected around version 3.1 of their software - I honestly can't remember the exact version.

Version 4 of the software offers a ton of new features and further improved the calibration routine.

I have compared the Spyder to other calibrators here and I think it provides excellent results. It is completely suitable for the W-LED/RGB LED/Wide Gamut Panels that I use it with.

I respect that you have unflinchingly high standards for color reproduction. My standards are also very high.

Is it possible that installing the PremierColor application's drivers disabled Windows Color Setup? It doesn't react to various icc profiles when loaded :(

Nope, I am in love with JVC 42WX70, NEC P241W, NEC LCD2490WUXI 1/2.

I am looking forward to seeing your following calibration results with spectrometer or possible high end colorimeter, Basicolor Discus.

BTW, This IPS laptop will work flawlessly on Mac OS, cos there is no need of WCG to sRGB conversion.
