The official one from 9th of may didn't have the string for the M8900 in it and it wouldn't install.

Took a while but I actually downloaded that file from AMD direct

It's completely official -- AMD often releases a driver and then a "hotfix" for the driver. Here is the 11.5b AMD hotfix page.

I sure hope the M6600 has optimus with the IPS panel (when it comes out). Its a strange limitation that the 4600 doesn't have optimus when configured with the IPS panel. I'm guessing it's just not baked into the bios.

Havotex is it possible for them to add optimus to the 4600 later on via a bios update? I understand if your under NDA on the matter.

It will be a quad core I7 4 gigs of memory, ati card, fips finger print reader, bluetooth, wireless smart card reader, webcam, mic, 320 gig HD. I'm suppose to receive it in a few days. I have the docking station and the dell 17" grey black notebook bag for it. I also have 4 gigs of the ddr 3 1333 for it and a spare 320 gig HDD that you can use for raid 0, that I will send with it that I don't need. I was thinking in the vicinity of $3k It will be brand new in BOX.

I do not have the data sheet yet from Dell, as soon as they give me a service tag I will have it. Right now it is only an exchange number. I just know the minimum they will give me because of the stats my m6500 has. I'm sorry I can't send private messages. They probably do that to prevent spamming. (I am also sorry I dont mean to highjack this thread or anything, my apologies.) I still cant write messages.

Been researching Optimus and the Sandy Bridge processors. Looks like they can only handle 8 bit graphics. The Nividia and ATI video cards support 10bit graphics. If you have a 6bit or 8bit panel, then there are no issues with the 8 bit bottleneck. If the IPS panels are 10bit color, then Intel's 8bit limitation would be a big deal.
