The part about Sandy Bridge is not true. There are (non-business) notebooks shipping now with Sandy Bridge and 4 memory slots. The Clevo P150MH/Sager 8150 comes to mind.

Has there been any updates on a release time-frame for the M4600 and M660 yet? I can't get an answer from Dell, but was wondering if there were any credible rumors in the last week or so.

The Notebook check article was originally in German...could it possibly be a Dell of Europe release only and America will receive it later?

Though that was from one person without a source. Hopefully we get word from Dell soon. I'm really looking forward to the upgrade.

Except that the M6600's screen resolution will be a downgrade of 10%, and I don't look forward to that!

Yeah. It would be nice to have an official word. I've chatted with 3-4 Dell Sales people, and non of them has claimed to have heard anything at all. My company just ordered 4 of the M4500's and I'm hoping to wait until the M4600's are released even though I'm at the top of the replacement list. Just wish I knew a solid time-frame.

I can't name the source, but it's a Dell contact that should know. Last he told me, we won't see them this month.
