M6400 Monster Price

    Anyway, what interests me most is whether the Quadro FX 3700 can be upgraded once the 55nm and lower quadro cards are released. Without that upgrade option this machine will be OK for most uses but little more than an expensive pizza box for gamers (gamers tend to regard this generation of Nvidia cards as underwhelming, to say the least).

    At the moment one can configure the 17" OCZ whitebook in crossfire with a qx9300 for the price of this notebook with barely above base specs.

    Remember, the target market for these machines is graphic design and such, they need this kind of power, and it comes with a cost. This isn't meant to be used to surf the internet.

    For example there is software out there, that requires a minimum of 8Gb of RAM to run.
    This laptop is to be used for this kind of stuff...

    If you head on over to FatWallet.com and search for Dell Small Business deals, you can see which newer computers are discounted now. Then look up when they were initially released. That may give you an indicator.
