    I've just been told by one of their sales reps that they're aiming for the 9th of September. Not sure how reliable this is, though, given that said rep couldn't understand why someone would need a numeric keypad, and consequently forgot said requirement every eight seconds.

    ("How about the Latitude?"
    "It doesn't have a numpad."
    "Oh, right, yeah. Perhaps the Precision M6300 then?"
    "Augh!")

    According to the UK sales rep I just spoke to, the M6400 won't be available for sale in the UK until 24 Sep. She also tried to sell me a M6300...

    (I also asked about the Inspiron 13, and they had no date at all for that.)

    I spoke to a sales agent today and all she could give me was "due in Fall". I asked if this was Back-to-school/Movie-season Fall or calendar/leave-falling Fall. She didn't know, but interestingly was anxious to get one herself.

    Anybody know if the quad core cpu it is supposed to have has even been released yet?

    It was officially released during Intel Conference or IDF or what ever they call it, which was middle of August.
