Thanks for the information. This changes my thoughts about buying the M4800, and it looks like I'll have to prey that my current laptop will stay alive til the next big refresh.

It looks like the best port replicator for the m4800 is part number 331-7947, with the 240w power brick.

I recommend the Samsung Evo 500gb mSATA, a doddle to install (unless you're me and forget to set it up in Windows doh). I posted my Crystalmark times on 20 March.

Thanks for the info! It,s really a big mess to know what device is USB2 or USB3 compliant. In Ebay some PRO2X are announced with USB2 other USB3 and pics shown some black USB connector or blue ones! :) Some are sold with 90W or 130W or 210W AC ! Hehe everything is done to be confused! What's your AC adaptor? I guess like said Chiane a 180W or more is recommended to take advantage of all the power of the m4800.

Yeah, I shopped around eBay for a while to find one that came with the 240W brick. That was more important to me than whether the USB ports were USB 2 or 3. Googling the part number, it looks like the one I have has both types.

I just got a crucial m500 480gb for 277$ cad from canadacomputers, works great and very fast, runs a little warm (most msata's seem to)

works great and does run FULL Sata 3 speeds , so the msata is sata 3 for anyone who is interested.

the samsung is a great msata ssd , just to expensive for my blood.
