Anyone having USB problems with their M4800? I have a couple of USB devices; a Windows Phone 8 mobile and an AOC portable LED display, both of which won't stay "connected". They both work for a little while and then begin to constantly connect and disconnect. I'm running Windows 8.1 Enterprise but I get the same behaviour when running Windows 8 Enterprise. I'm currently at BIOS A03 and have installed the latest and greatest chipset drivers. I'm going to try A05 and see if that makes any difference.

    Thanks.

I haven't experienced anything like that, but definitely give A05 a try.

Seriously considering the M4800 to replace my Sony VAIO Z, but I have a few lingering questions hopefully someone can help me out with.

    1. Is it really difficult to read the screen at the QHD+ full resolution? Can someone post a picture of the screen?
    2. What happens if you try to change the resolution to 1600x900...will it retain the sharpness (thought I read here its not as sharp)? Answered after reading thru M3800 thread
    3. On the Dell website they offer one line with 16GB of memory. Are there more empty slots for me to upgrade it to 32GB if I want?
    4. I've asked Dell and they confirmed I can install a mSATA and SDD (keeping the optical drive) by myself if I want to. But I thought with the old M4600 or M4700 we could install two HDD, or am I mistaken?

    Thanks in advance!

    3. You'll have to specifically ask for it to come with 2 8GB sticks so you can upgrade to 32 - mine came with 2 x 4GB so I upped it to 16.

    4. You can have 2 drives + MSATA but only if you swap out the optical drive.

Bear in mind that's with the scaling set to 125%, as shown in the image.

If you do a lot of RDP'ing (I only do it every now and again, and can deal with it), you will be looking at something more like this:
