You've used a 4940mx in the M4800? I've thought about upgrading (from the 4810mq) but not sure about the heat or battery life on it, since it was designed for 17 inch laptops. On top of that, the cheapest I can find is about $250 NZD

Where could I get a VBIOS for the WX 4150?

It is a delusion. 4940MX is not designed especially for the 17" laptops. M4800 heatsink and M6800 heatsinks was designed for 57W CPU's (two heatpipes), so it's for both of them :) Mine M4800 was equipped with 4940MX from the factory (checked it with service code on official Dell site). But be sure that you're using good thermal paste (like IC7 or Thermal Grizzly etc.), because raw power of the 57W is feeling well. Loaded CPU can heat up over 96 degrees.

Stable final OC vBIOS for WX4150, rom included: wx4150.jpg
Also, I've uploaded it to techpowerup: https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/237581/237581

    Thank god for having DellFanManagement
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...anaging-the-fan-speed-in-dell-laptops.833340/
Its a primitive fan control, three levels, Off, mid and full speed but its better than nothing but I sure miss tpfancontrol.
I've tried a lot of paste during my time having this laptop but settled on kryonaut.
I wouldn't say the fans are any louder than any other cpu and the temperatures are about the same with 4810mq which I had before, that is that you have good thermal paste and thermal pad mods

Decided to wing it and use that VBIOS, and now I think the bottleneck here is my 4810MQ with Affinity Photo, which didn't make much improvement when I flashed.

Hm... Strange results... Raw performance raised from 1850 GFlops to 2050 GFlops, you can check it by yourself simply running furmark or AIDA64 GPU benchmark.

Unfortunately I didn't actually test the GPU before flashing but I have noticed a good temp drop, and it's drawn about 40W.

Results and core frequency are correct, I see it with AIDA64 GPU benchmark. I've unlocked GPU's power consumption to 50W, so it will head to the laptop's board capacity when needed.

Is there any tangible difference between the 4910mq and the 4940mx?
