    Thanks, man.

Do you know if I can use M2200 with Optimus enabled? If so, I won't mind using a LVDS.

That should be fine. These systems can use Optimus if the display is not higher resolution than 1080p. Note that with "unsupported" NVIDIA GPU upgrades, you have to jump through some hoops to get the NVIDIA driver to install, modifying its INF file and dealing with signature verification. There are lots of posts about how to do this but just making sure that you are aware before you jump in.

It'll be fine. I needed to do some modifications with 970M on my Clevo and installing a new vbios (and another driver modification) with my Quadro P4000 to work on my Precision.

    Thank you very much.

I bought from this same seller. In my case, battery doesn't charge at all, and bios said that "it needs to be replaced".

He agreed on sending a new battery and I'm waiting. It'll probably arrive on Tuesday (Monday is President's Day).

Mine is meant to be here Tuesday too, will definitely post an update on how their tests went, supposedly it will be a good unit.

Hi, anyone tried to install Turing Nvidia GTX 1650 MXM 3.0a GPU? On taobao it costs about $450.

I also want to know that. I don't think it's worth it, since it has a higher TDP than common (75W if I'm not mistaken) and it costs almost the double as M2200 ($250. Can be found as low as $160 sometimes) with 50% more performance, but there are other good options to consider, like GTX 1050 Ti and GT 1030. If someone tested one or all of those on M4800, please let us know.

A Pascal card like the 1050 Ti or 1030 is unlikely to work because of Pascal vBIOS issues with these systems — BSOD on boot, no matter what. The only good way to solve it is with an early engineering sample vBIOS, and we only have those for the first-line Quadro P-series cards.

However, a Turing card like the GTX 1650 card might actually work. Someone tried a Quadro RTX 4000 from HP and it did not have the same vBIOS/BSOD issue that Pascal cards have.

Only way to know is to try it, though...

Did someone actually tested the MXM variant of T1000 or T2000 on M4700/M4800? If they work, it's almost confirmed that 1650 will run without any issues.

So I got a M4800 recently and new to this but the board is apparently the LA-9771P, with the LVDS. The information I've been looking around at are confusing. I don't think it can use an eDP cable for eDP use so it loses the choice of that.

Which board model do I need specifically for eDP Full HD use? And does eDP Full HD give me Enduro/Optimus? And are there any advantages to keep the LVDS board? My choices for new LCDs are slim, as I already have one with the full HD LVDS. But it's not making me feel future-proofed or ready to replace a readily available panel.
