    So, 2 questions.
    1. Does anyone know how to disable or toggle the auto de-illumination on the keyboard?
    2. When I removed the GPU heatsink off my M5100, I noticed only half of the top VRAM chips are covered. Is it okay to them as is?

There's a setting in the BIOS to change the amount of time that the keyboard stays lit.

    [Edit]
Actually it looks like this option might not be present in the M4800. It is present in the following generation (7510/7710). Try installing the Dell Feature Enhancement Pack, it adds some settings to the Keyboard control panel in Windows that allow you to control the keyboard illumination timeout. (I have changed it for sure using this method on my M6700.)

Will the software work in Windows 10? I see the driver page only mentions Windows 7 (unless I'm looking at a very outdated one).

I'm using it on Windows 10 without issues. Try this one: https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/drivers/driversdetails?driverId=MHVWP
I haven't tried it on a M4800/M6800 but the systems are so similar I think that there is a good chance that it will work.

Note that there are some custom install options and you don't have to choose all of them. You probably don't need the stuff related to power management or OSD support.

That didn't work. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

So I need some help. After swapping my laptop's motherboard, the new motherboard gives out an "Invaild Partition Table" line when booting. Outside of reinstalling Windows, what are my options?

Likely you had UEFI boot before and it is currently set to legacy or vice versa. Try switching the boot mode.

Hy Game7a1. Check your BIOS settings. If boot is set to MBR, change it to UEFI. If it's set to UEFI, change it to MBR/Legacy.

[EDIT] (chuckle), looks like Aaron44126 beat me to posting! ;)

I don't see my boot drive listed under UEFI, but I'll see if changing from Legacy to UEFI will do the trick. If all suggestions fail, I'll just swap back to the old motherboard and return the new one.
Right now, I'm dealing with an "ASF2 force off" issue (seems to be power related).

Bleep! Sorry Game7a1, I've been working on my Thinkpad and I had the wrong BIOS in mind!

Under "Setting" go to "Boot Sequence". There will be a section in the middle called "Boot list Options". After choosing between Legacy and UEFI, make sure that your boot drive is listed in the above section called "Boot Sequence" and reboot.
