Doesn't Haswell require a new chipset, too?

I will use M4800 as desktop alternative most of time.
It will connect with Dell 2007 20" 1600x1200 monitor.
This external monitor has dot pitch of 0.25 mm.
Therefore, I am considering to have a M4800 with 1366x768 screen resolution,
which also have dot pitch of 0.25mm.
    With such dual monitor configuration,
    scaling is no more problem.
But it seems that 1366x768 is very "low-end" now,
and no wide view, and Premium Panel Guarantee are provided.
    I also use linux OS.
How does it look like in the command line mode on the QHD+ screen?
    Will the font be visible?

It's a shame that optimus is not supported right now. Imo it's very unprofessional to first claim something and then later find out that it is not there. Something tells me that the engineering team and those who write the text on the webpage at dell dont work under the same direction.

No wonder why people are going to lenovo, hp, apple etc....

Yes, indeed. It's too bad that they don't support Optimus for NVidia. But what about Enduro (similar graphics switching) for AMD Firepro M5100?

Does M4800 support Enduro with QHD+ panel?

Without graphic switching M4800 becomes less and less attractive :(
Especially if we know that it's doable (see M3800/XPS 15 as example)...

It is not possible to configure a M4800 with the FirePro. When selecting the QHD+ upgrade there is a conflict with the GPU and an upgrade to a Nvidia GPU is required. If you get a normal 1080p screen however you can get the Firepro and have Enduro.

It is very much so less appealing, so much that I returned my system even though I believe I got a very good deal on it.

You really managed to order the Dell Wireless 1550 2X2 802.11ac + Bluetooth 4.0 card with the QHD+ display and the Contactless Smart Card Reader ?

So far I never managed to get the QHD+ panel, the Wireless Smartcard Reader and the Dell Wireless 1550 Wlan card configured together....

That is the config that would make me happy and order the M4800.

I'm afraid that the WiGig Display back doesn't contain the necessary antennas for the Dell Wireless 1550 or Intel AC-7260 card.
