Same for me, I am waiting restlessly for someone who would testify that yes, the IPS RGB screen can be without color defect, and if it was today in europe it would be even better!

For HP's Elitebook IPS solution as the example, it features two important features. First one is the STDP8028 solution from ST. and the second is the Portrait Display OEM/Licensed package for gamut mappings between sRGB and wide gamut.

Evidently the so-called color shift is in fact caused by either A-TW Polarizer
    or RGB Backlight Uniformity.

Buy new spectrometer (such as Colormunki Photo) and send your Colorimeter for the bin nearby.

i checked the IPS panel used on my m4600, and it has slightly light leakage like my Dell U2412M monitor which equipped with an e-IPS panel. perhaps color tint existed but frankly speaking i can hardly notice that.
btw i‘m still curious about M6600's IPS panel bcz the IPS panel cannot be chosen account of microphone's incompatibility in both US and China.......

How big is your "leakage", because if it was minor I would let it go myself, but mine is about 5 cm high and 1 to 2 cm wide. That is not hardly noticable.
And is it green in left bottom corner or magenta/pink in right bottom one?

Only High End monitor(EIZO/NEC for 600-1000 USD in USA or 10000 RMB in China due to tax) supports RGB Panel Uniformity Automation.
