M4400 - dual link DisplayPort > DVI?

    From what I understand, Dell decided not to try making a DisplayPort to dual-link DVI adapter. I imagine that they wanted to do a similar thing to Apple but decided it wasn't worth the effort because the number of 30" monitor owners is still low (plus, they want to promote their 30" monitors that have dual-link DisplayPorts).

    Thanks for the link, lixuelai. Not sure that I'll want to experiment yet, but someone else can try and let us know. ;)

    I think one hope that us "poor" 30" monitor owners have is waiting for someone to release a powered KVM switch that includes DisplayPort input and dual-link DVI output. It wouldn't be cheap, but I would find it useful, at least, hehe.
