M4400 backlit keyboard worth it?

    Good job, the backlit keyboard, you might not "need" it, but once you have it theres no turning back. It's SO useful and fun to have. I won't buy any laptop w/o one now.

    Thanks....I had a bad screen on this Asus one day after I got it and it went back to get replaced...hopefully I'll be more lucky this time around :D

    ironic isn't it? a backlit keyboard doesn't really affect the computer's performance and is more of a cosmetic (and for some an extra bonus in functionality).. yet once you get used to it.. its very hard to adapt to life with out it lol.

    for that reason, I'm looking at the Latitude as well (wish it had the Precision's video card though)

    isnt the video card the reason the precision costs more? i mean without it they'd both be essentially the same machine...unless you consider the rippleback screen lol....
