No, it came with the mSATA SSD in the main bay, which I moved into the miniPCI slot, then put in the WD that came from my X220. I did re-install the OS, but only because I wanted to downgrade to Windows 7. When I moved mSATA SSD over, it worked the same.

Did the samsung PM851 Firmware upgrade to EXT49D0Q. These things are always scary :O) Had no symptoms or problems with the old fw, but probably\maybe best to be up to date.

ssd in msata slot (+ 500 gb hd), ssd\hd password active. Was expecting to stay up all night fixing things, but all done in 5 minutes & the 7440 booted again like if nothing had happened. Did a Macrium image first, no need for it.

I installed Windows 10 over Win 7. Dell touchpad drivers on win7 were different, now i have only option to scroll with two fingers.
    Will this be solved?
Was this an issue with Win 8.1 too? Single finger scrolling is way easier? Can't understand why did they remove as option?

I had windows 8.1 and I as far as I remember I could only scroll with two fingers, no option for one finger scrolling.

Now I have also switched to Windows 10 but I face a problem with the fingerprint sensor functionality when using Dell security tools, it doesn't work. Does anyone else face the same problem?

In the official Dell webpage they say that E7440 has been successfully tested with windows 10 but then when I visit the Driver downloads section it says Windows 10 is not supported for the particular model and there are no updated drivers.

Well Win 7 drivers were different, Dell touchpad app had a separate scroll settings and it could be set to single finger scroll.
Win 10 and Win8.1 drivers are different. Why i don't know.:(

Win 10 is still new, many apps have problems Kaspersky for example. So we need to be patient with drivers too.

An audio question. Using Realtek driver (any version, removed, reinstalled etc), have regularly lost audio from the jack out. Removing plug > the internal speakers play ok. Replugging will cut int. speakers, but no signal on the jack. Rebooting fixes it until it happens again.

w8.1 High Definition driver has zero problems, so hardware must be ok.

No big deal, am using w8.1 hd driver which always works (Audacity records fine without stereo mix, using wasapi) but wondering what's up with the Realtek jack trouble (have read a few other reports about this, seen no fix).

    Thanks

Had experienced the same audio issue when using the Realtek driver with Windows 8.1. Now using Windows 10 the corresponding driver seems to be working fine.

By the way, have you also experienced issues with the Mobile broadband card's driver (Dell Wireless 5570 WWAN) ?
I haven't seen anyone mentioning something about that and I was wondering if I am the only one having such an issue.

So it seems the audio is a w8.1 realtek driver problem. As the ms driver works fine here, am not missing any of the (99% useless) realtek extra features.

Can't answer about any broadband card problem, moved the msata hd to that slot.
