if i were you, i'd just convert the install to OEM (as long as you actually have a legal key, there is nothing wrong with doing this), and use SLP activation.

I disagree. I like the Vista taskbar a lot better, and I liked having the "sidebar always on top" option that maximized windows in a way to leave the gadgets showing. I guess Microsoft can't please everybody.

Make the Windows 7 Taskbar Work More Like Windows XP or Vista - How-To Geek

As for the gadget, just right-click on them, and select "Always on top"

It never hurts reading the help documentation :D

It also doesn't hurt to read others' post thoroughly. I know how to put Win 7 gadgets on top, but if I maximize a window, it will go "under" the gadgets. In Vista, it will maximize while leaving some space for the sidebar. It's different behavior, and I like Vista's better.

As for the link, my work computer already has all of that. I still hate the gold-colored glow of windows that ask to be active (like Messenger windows when someone chats with you), I like the orange-in-black of Vista much better. I have changed it around and went back to default, but it was much simpler to change colors in Vista.

Win key + Space will show the desktop with your gadget when you need to get info from them.

Win + D will hide all window, do it again will show all the windows again as it was before.

Win + G bring to front the gadgets.

I think it's plenty of solutions to go around it. Else you can copy sidebar program on Vista and override it on Win7.

And why do you want to work with programs, if vista has it already configured ?
I didnt understant 1 thing of what you say, could you clarify ?
    But thanks

If you meant Phone Activation, i dont want to spend more than 1 dollar on the call, and they might deviate me to a computer in India and cost me 100$
Or should i pay Microsoft 100$ for support
