On the sales page for the E5570 the Thunderbolt 3 port is shown as being available in "Winter 2016". When I asked a CSR on the Dell chat when it would actually be available they said it already is on the E5570 and the comment on the page meant the dock would be available in the winter.

So, if you have bought an E5570 does it have the Thunderbolt 3 port?

Same question. I would recommend to ask the seller (or the vendor).

I did a chat with the vendor - Dell. Dell are the ones causing the confusion.

I chatted with a CSR yesterday with the same question. The answer I got was that it was not available now, but would available "very soon" "Within a couple of weeks". They said they would email me when it happened. So unless someone has positive confirmation, it does not sound like it is available today.

There are "Type C" versions currently showing on Premier. Not clear if that's just USB 3.1 without Thunderbolt, or TB3.

I have seen no indications that this laptop would be offered with a Type C port other than the listing for Thunderbolt 3 - so presumably if it has type C that would be the same port. I assume the premier listings are behind a login somewhere, and can't be seen by the general public?

Thunderbolt 3 always uses USB-C as the form factor for the port.

To answer my own question - our IT guy just told me that it is available, and he has ordered one that should be arriving in 7-10 days. So they are definitely offering it.
