I am referring to Dell's online product support database where the details of each computer are held against the service tag. There is zero hint about the dGPU for my E7450 but it includes:
"NC6G7 1 ASSEMBLY, BASE (ASSEMBLY OR GROUP), I5-5300U, DELL SOLUTION CENTER, E7450"
I have to assume that the non-dGPU mainboard would have a different code. However, that inventory isn't perfect. It says I have an AUO panel when it's actually LG, so there's also a risk that non-mention of the mSATA interposer could be the result of a typing omission rather than the absence of the component.
Yes, the Dell UK outlet (which is where I bought mine) clearly shows which have the dGPU. However, the order confirmation or packing list didn't mention it and I was only satisfied that the original description was correct when I received the machine and checked it.

Hello - My company just gave me a new e7450 and I am a little short on HD space with 256 GB. Would anyone be able to recommend a SD Card solution that does not stick out much from the SD card holder? I am considering buying a 128GB card to hold files where speed I/O is not of concern.

    Thanks in advance!

Stick out much? To me it's pretty aligned with the notebook boundaries. What do you mean?
BTW, congrats with the new e7450, I like it. Hope you'll like it as well.

All SD cards are the same size and the card protrudes very little when in the slot.

I've checked the speed of the fastest card I have (64GB Sandisk Ultra XC1 Class 10) and the sequential read / write speeds according to CrystalDiskMark are 91MB/s and 13MB/s. Other cards may be faster. However, the relatively small format of the card isn't good for heat dissipation that could be a problem if the card was faster. In comparison, I have a Sandisk Ultra Flair flash drive which recorded 147 and 73MB/s on the same test and got noticeably warm. If the primary function of the extra storage is for reading and not writing then a slow write speed isn't a major problem.

Does anyone use Firefox as a browser? Have you noticed any glitches/artifacts with rendering? Not a webpage, but tabs/windows/control elements? I have it with tabs row. Also, I have some strange artifacts in Internet Explorer in a webpage this time, but only after a long session within specific web application. Some control elements get replaced with random graphics elements from previous pages.
I need to mention that this behaviour presumably occurs only with the onboard videocard. Once I go to the Nvidia settings and choose using dedicated Nvidia videocard for IE and Firefox all these problems are gone. So it definitely because of the onboard Intel videochip. Just want to check is it about my particular chip or rather driver problems that someone but me can have.

    Thanks John -

Will basically be for storage of software (reads), pics, etc. I can be patient of the writes. Just was not sure if they made a shorter one that someone knew of. My wife has a Trascend for her Macbook and fits really nice with an aluminum end. I will check out that Sandisk you have.

I have a micro-SD card adapter that lives in the slot of my E7450. It is unnoticeable and sticks out maybe 1mm.

There are UHS-II cards such as this (the first I found as an example) and which use a second row of contacts. Dell's specs indicates that the card reader is SD 4.0 which, according to this, includes the second row of contacts. However, I don't recall anyone reporting that they had tested such a card in the E7450.

I fixed the problem of fitting a new Msata module into my E7450 WWAN slot.
I gave it back and got a E7440 laptop. I also gained dedicated Volume Control buttons and WLAN switch. What did I loose?
I know I'm a bit off topic, but that Msata thing got me so upset that I did the move.

All other things being equal (especially the CPU module and screen) -- slightly worse battery life, slightly slower CPU, significantly slower iGPU performance (although if you're not a gamer or running professional 3D apps -- neither of which are all that good on even the 7450 -- you're unlikely to care.) Oh, and the possibility of putting expensive 16gb DIMMs in... and if you prefer it, the somewhat-more-island-style keyboard (although I consider the E7440 semi-island like the older Latitudes the better keyboard.)

I keep borrowing my wife's E7440; really nice machine -- the E7440/7450 chassis is IMO the nicest Dell has put out in quite a number of years. Am very curious to see the 7470 in person.

    Hi,
    I have a SanDisk Extreme® USB 2.0 Flash Drive 32 Gb (https://www.sandisk.com/home/usb-flash/extreme-usb)
which I can use it successfully on several computers (Win 8.1 and 10) except my new Dell e7450 (Win 10).
On the same e7450 I use without problem :
    - a SanDisk Extreme PRO® SDHC 32Gb (https://www.sandisk.com/home/memory-cards/sd-cards/extremepro-sd-uhs-i) and
    - a Ultra Fit USB 3.0 Flash Drive 128Gb (https://www.sandisk.com/home/usb-flash/ultra-fit-usb).

I formatted also and changed it to NTFS but the problem still exists. Not recognizable even the blue light of the Flash Drive turns on when insert it into any port of the laptop.

    PS. don't get any I/O error(s).

    Thanks for your comments/remarks.
