    Thanks for this info. My German is a bit rusty but I see that they managed to increase the size of the touchpad to 10cm x 5.4cm (my E7440's pad measures 9cm x 4.7cm). The WWAN slot is marked "WWAN HCA" so no mention of an SSD. The display is AUO B140HAN which is what is in my E7440 and the battery time for surfing over WiFi is just over 7.5 hours.

    it also looks like the keyboard spill drain was removed on the E7450 since its now a chiclet version. There is a hole at the bottom left side of the E7440 and it serves to drain any spill through it. Looks like the volume buttons were removed too.

    Based on that review, I am not happy with that keyboard. I am not a chicklet fan. Touchpad looks a lot bigger at least.

    Very torn.

    Just got my e7450 from Dell.
    Some background info :
    • Ordered it from Dell Spain
    • there was little to configure. In essence, it was almost pre-configure.
    • The description showed "Discrete graphics" with no additional information
    • Asked on chat twice, and they never confirmed which sort of graphics it was (one of the guys mentioned a Intel HD520 (!)...
    • Given that Nvidia GeForce 840m was mentioned on the owner manual, I took the plunge anyway (ok didn't really need the discrete graphics for my work. just would have been nice for me personally).
    • The owner manual also shows an 7mm HDD tray, with spacer for msata drives, M2 for Wi-Fi and WWAN
    • Ordered a i7 5600U, w/ 1x8GB RAM and 256 mSata, with Wi-Fi and WWan (with the notion that I could replace that one with a M2 HDD if not really used).

    What I got :
    • Ta da ! Nvidia GF 840m is included ! So there is a discrete version of the e7450 available. May not be yet available or selectable on all markets. Not mentioning vendors not being trained (or asked to lie about it to not hinder launch sales ?)
    • no 7mm hdd tray. The whole internal lay out is different from what every other have said as well as from the owner manual !). Will update a picture in a coming post, when I re-open it again to add the second 8GB
    • Smart Card, and SD card, as expected.
    • The following FRUs :
      • 1x8GB Samsung PC3L 12800s ref M471B1G73EB0-YKO
      • a 256GB Hynix SH920 mSATA module in what I believe is an mSATA slot,
      • an Intel Wireless AC 7265NGW PCIe M2 22mm,

    Globally very good.
    Booted straight to linux (ubuntu trusty) with no issues what soever (intel graphics, sound, wireless, bluetooth, lan, touchpad, trackpoint, Fx keys, etc all worked)
    What I haven't tested yet in Linux :
    • Nvidia graphics (still in linux and didn't bother yet trying nouveau/nvidia and haven't booted in windows yet)
    • SmartCard
    • SD Card
    • fingerprint reader
    • HDMI/DP output

    Hope to check those soon.

    Keyboard impressions is rather good except for a slightly annoying issue which I don't now if it's hw or linux (or both) : some times, some keys get repeated. It seems random at the moment, but will report back if it either goes away (or does not happen in Windows), or shows some sort of reproductive pattern.
    Yes it's a chiclet (which I am usually not fond of), but I guess all manufacturers who still bother using pointsticks and real buttons arae keeping the chicklet keys anyway.
    Use to have Thinkpads. Hated the late Lenovo buttonless ****, and couldn't wait for them releasing their new series with buttons back. The keyboard completely sustain comparison with Thinkpad's in my taste/opinion.

    E7250 owner here. Hoping to get a 2nd SSD in the WWAN HCA M.2 slot. Internals seem very similar. I got the i5 touch model with 256GB SSD.

    I note from @Totson the following is the WWAN card:

    4G Modem Sierra Wireless AirPrime EM7305, PCIe M2 42mm

    Does anybody know if maybe a PCIe SSD might work..? I assume that @Svnyster tried a SATA M.2 SSD?
