So, I found a great deal on one and bought it.
Just a few things bothering me...

#1 Fiirst the touchpad, while on the Bios I havent noticed any issues, when in windows, it suddenly stops working but if I move the cursor using the middle joystic thingy or keep trying on the touchpad, eventually it works again. Maybe a drivers issue?

#2 A couple of things still show needing a drive in Device Manager but as everything I need is working, that is less important.

#3 For some reason the Bios SATA was set to RAID ON but it only has one SSD so...I tried changing from Raid to AHCI but then after the windows logo I get a bluescreen error.
Anyone having similar issues under Windows 10?

    Thanks

I would go to Dell drivers and download site and let it autodetect your system. Once thats done let it search for required drivers and install everything. Windows has sucessfully loaded the hdd controller driver so you cant change it now. Leave it set to raid its fine.

If the bios has the option to use UEFI boot then thats the best for windows 10 but you need to do a complete reinstall of windows to make it work. You need to research it or have a internet capable device handy while your trying to install in case you have trouble with boot sequence.
It boots wicked pisser fast on UEFI with a ssd, worth the trouble to reinstall win 10

Also update to the latest bios before going to UEFI.

Well not a real trouble to reinstall as it does not have much anyways since I just got it. I suppose all I need is the key from the System Information to reinstall? Also, did you have any issues with the drivers at all considering that there is now Windows 10 support drivers directly from Dell for this model? Not sure where the previous owner got them.

    Thanks

I don't have that model Dell. My 7559 inspiron has a key embedded in the bios. Also my Alienware 18 requires no key. Windows 7 and 8 drivers work on Windows 10.

Ok, I know mine has a Windows 7 sticker so just wanted to make sure I will be able to reinstall and get 10 again. Maybe I should consult with Microsoft about it?
I plan to do it tonight then since better now before I start installing software.
    Thanks!

You can direct instal win 10. No need to upgrade from 7. Your machine sould have the key embedded in the bios.

    Hello Guys
Not sure what I am doing wrong but I am on Bios A16, set the Bios to UEFI and AHCI.
Then installed Windows 10 fresh but it just wont find a boot device unless I use F12 to select the mini SATA drive.
    Any ideas?

    PS This has been solved!

So I was able to get this installed with UEFI but for some reason I cannot get the CPU to speed up! If I leave the Speed Step enabled etc, then it stuck at 1.78Ghz. If I disable speed step then it goes to 2.5 BUT Turbo wont work.
    Any ideas????
