    Because it may make your system more stable and reliable, and last more than 3 years. It is completely reversible... In my case, my system is a refurb, and the warranty is over...

    If you wait past the 3 year mark, a lot of the damage from excessive heat, and thermal shock is already done and can't be reversed.
