Firms need to give it a rest with these supersticky practically unremovable stickers all over the place. For the floor model that's going to sit at BB, sure. But the one you ship me, seriously though you can just skip that step.

My new notebook is arriving tomorrow, it has a brushed alum palm rest, and I just know it's going to be all scratchy and gooey within seconds of opening the box. It's depressing really.

They're usually not all over the place...just two. But in consumer computers, it can range from two to five or more. The huge stickers with the specs probably are the worst.

    Ahhh yes Goo Gone Citrus.
It's not only very handy to have around for things like this, it's also very refreshing on a hot day (kidding) :)

All you need is this miraculous solution- Goo Gone It's perfect for removing the sticky residue left from price tags, stickers, or any other adhesive. It is primarily Orange Oil, so it's safe on any hard surface (plastic and metal, especially). I used it to remove the stickers on my Latitude E6400 and it worked like a charm! I think Walgreen's and Home Depot carry it in store.

Goo Gone or WD-40 will both work well.
