    Hey there....I think usually bet. 1-3 years! ;) It all depends on the usage it's getting!
    And, over time batteries start to go downhill slowly...lose their *juice* per se!

    Here is a great guide on Batteries!

    Hope that helps!

    Unless you mean how many hours per charge.
    In which case read above post.
    I've found 6 hours on my Inspiron 1520 (T7250, 8600M GT)

    You need to tell us what computer you are talking about before we can say a word. Some computers can get 8 hours on a 9 cell, others manage 2.

    I can't give you an answer without information.

    You should be getting somewhere around 5-6 hours or so, depending on the hardware in the D620.

    The battery itself will likely last around 2 years, give or take.

    @archaic, Download Everest from Lavalys.
    http://www.lavalys.com/products/download.php?ps=UE&lang=en

    I don't know if the trial version will show you this, but anyway: run it, and go under (in the program) "Computer" > "Power Management". See "Wear Level".

    It will show you how much the battery was used.
