Well, yes, but what I was talking about was right now they are not the most stable platforms.

The current 7710 doesn't have a Thunderbolt 3 port. This will be available as an option soon.

The new Win 7 replacement is running MUCH better. Again, Win 10 sucks, avoid.

Yes yes win10 sucks, maybe, whatever.

The real question is: does it throttle?

Would be interesting to run Intel xtu burn-cpu.

What kind of screen for your laptop? I am looking for 17.3" UltraSharp 3840x2160 IGZO 100% Adobe colour but cant find the detail of it.

Is it correct that both the optical drive and a 2nd hard disk have been removed?
That would be sad as I currently use three internal 2.5 SSDs (2 standard hdd-bays and replaced DVD with HDD) + 1 mSata to max out storage.

    7710 is just one 2.5 and 2x m.2?

Is the chassis so much thinner that not even a second HDD would fit?
Especially if the optical bay was removed which should free up some internal space, shouldn't it?

    Indeed, this is the configuration.
I wish they'd include at least one more 2.5" bay. Seems like going from 15" to 17" should get you enough room to put in one more 2.5" drive (this was true for previous generations), but I haven't had the chance to see one of these yet to see how much space there is or is not available on the inside.

The NVMe M.2 drives are on another level completely. I swapped out the smaller battery / 2.5" drive config in my 5510 for the larger battery with no 2.5" drive at all. In my opinion, once you step up to the M.2 drives, the 2.5" is just wasted space unless you need the extra storage or data redundancy. If the choice is 2 M.2 drives or 2 2.5" drives, trust me, you want to go with M.2.
