I see no difference between my PM951 and my regular SSD from Crucial. As a matter of fact, if you Google PM951 and look at actual test scoring they are rather slow...
    I swapped mine for a 950 Pro.

Sorry, but not all NVMe drives are that fast. That PM951 is kind of ****ty actually.

At this time, Dell has only announced one USB Type-C monitor and that's the $5,000 OLED monitor. Maybe there will be other monitors but not at the moment.

Dell says the two biggest issues are burn in, which they added a feature called pixel shift to prevent from happening. The second issue with OLEDs is short life span. Dell added a motion sensor to turn off the display when you're not around.

Still sounds like a big risk for that much cash.

True that. Who was it then that announced their lineup of 4k USB c monitors then? It was just at CES like last month.

I think it must've been Lenovo and Acer from my quick and dirty google search.

I'll probably get the current non usb-C display from Dell (P2715Q). I don't mind not having that type connector on the external display. Display Port is fine I think.

Wow $5000 for a display though, and OLED no less. thats crazzy

Very true. I've heard great things from OLED and I love my Samsung phone screen. But for TV's and monitors, I've only heard bad, and expensive.

If USB c not out, and likely with bells/whistles blowing up the price, I would recommend staying with the dp port as well.

I'd suggest, matte screen, USB ports, and rotating stand. Slim bezzles are huge plus if you plan on multiple monitors now or later.

But dell's IPS matte 4k monitors are nice/bring/realistic. I had a Samsung for a few weeks, and like their tvs the picture was super vibrant which was awesome, but for photo editing it sucked as pictures did not come out how they were on screen.

I think our old plasma tv does something similar - if you look closely, the picture slowly shifts around (presumably to reduce the burn-in).

The P2715Q is not bad, but the color gamut is not as wide as the internal 4K displays on the 5510 or 7710. The 3014 is much closer to having the same color quality.

I do not. Since I did not have 3 identical drives, I just created the RAID set to make sure it worked. I was too OCD/superstitious/worried to put it into a production machine that would be used with Autodesk Revit generating VR walkthroughs for an Oculus Rift. On the plus side, the M5000M and Rift play very well together. Still tweaking out things though.

How would you rate the 4K display on the 7710 vs. the 1K option?
