    The only ones I know that work are the Kingston 2133MHz ones...

    My guess is a vBIOS incompatibility with the M6800. Until we get a Dell P5000M, and try to extract its vBIOS, I think you might be out of luck.

    The last option could be a faulty card as well. You never know right? :p

    *Edit* @iieeann Did you bought the Dell version of the P5000M from the Chinese website (taobao.com)? Looks like there's a couple available there and it really costs an arm and a leg!

    So, if I understand correctly, the VRM protrusion on the M6800 heatsink is much wider than on the M6700 which interferes with the inductor chips on the VRM?

    The modded one looks pretty convenient as it's all flat so it looks like it could easily fit one of these Geforce 1070 cards with more inductor chips of the smaller size (e.g. like the one found in Zotac EN1070). Too bad they don't have any such modded heatsinks for the M6700.

    Yes you are spot on. Clearly Dell did produce a different heatsink for the gfx cards (both AMD & Nvidia) in the M6800 that can accept any type of inductor chip and VRM combination. Unlike the default M6800 gfx card heatsink we get that is clearly tailored just for the K3100M/K4100M/K5100M.

    Not sure why Dell never deployed what they had though.
