Graphics Card upgrade for M6800 ?

    Just found a listing for a 980m with 8GB for $50 *less* than what I paid. Putting in for the return of the 4GB card now...

    Just went ahead and I'm currently testing 0.95V for voltage tables from CLK 30 to CLK 58.

    Temperatures are about 1C lower than my initial undervolt, but GPU clocks are almost completely stable at 1126MHz.

    Firestrike with 0.950V on the vcore

    I've also added link to the drivers from windows update catalog that do not require inf modding. If someone at a near future would want to use them for quick testing.

    The P5000 is installed and working with the latest Nvidia drivers ......it's running about 63 degrees under heavy load according to OpenHardware Monitor and performing well

    Update .....the machine also boots into my OS X Mojave and Modicia Linux partitions just fine. In fact the speed I get in Linux is just incredible ......no problems and the highest temp I've seen is is 73 .......

    Could you confirm if your lcd screen is an Edp or an LVDS?.Do you have optimus enabled?
    What kind if thermal pads did you use?.Do you have any pictures.?

    I do plan to show ya'll some pictures but...... I have no idea how to tell whether my screen is Edp or LVDS (My understanding is if you use optimus. which I do .....either will work). I'll look up the new thermal pads I ordered on e-bay .....andI will get some screenshots
