monakh: I did upgrade the memory, but was not comfortable doing it. I have more money than experience, and prefer to pay 'pros' to do things I could easily screw up. Please, jefkom... drop me a private note so that we can start a discussion. I'll make it worth your while- promise.

I was not able to find this SSD on the Canadian eBay site, but did find it online:

Yep, RocketDisk is a great place to pick up Mtrons. They have very good service and knowledgeable people. In fact, you may want to send Johnny RocketDisk (a member here on the forum representing them) a PM with your request for the upgrade. They may be able to do it for you for a nominal fee. Try it, they go out of their way to help their customers.

monakh: Thanks for the suggestion. I tried, but there are no members named 'Johnny RocketDisk' or 'JohnnyRocketDisk'.

I can now confirm that my X1 reads 32GB SDHC cards! Just got two for cheap from HK off ebay. It is labeled as SandDisk Extreme III and I get around 9 MBs in HDTune. One of my USB card readers don't see the card though.

My motherboard on X1 is identified as 0XF993 by FreshDiagnose and PCWizard 2008.

Hey, is there someone out here who has 1280x800 screen resolution on his X1? I just wanted to know if X1's BIOS supports such screens in principle.

Thank you very much for the glowing reference, we very much appreciate it :)

I have connected with Tony and let him know what we can offer to help. This is also a very link for any Dell X1 users looking to upgrade to an Mtron 1.8" SSD, as NBR user ricoFR69 has posted some images of the Mtron installed in his X1 - http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=222885&page=9

Hi! can you please tell me where to get correct Video drivers for Windows 7. I cannot find any for my X1! It's running quite well under 7 but only with screen resolution 1024x768!
