E6400 Windows 7 Processor Rating 2.4, why?

    What? Are you sure it's an E6400, not E4300? While the chipset supports both DDR2 and DDR3, the E6400 is DDR2 (unlike the E4300, which went with DDR3).

    Just upgraded bios to A32, lol my CPU WEI is 2.3 now, it went down a point lol.

    NM it is DDR2... i might have mixed up with my e6410. ;/ i have lot's of laptops.

    I wonder if your CPU could actually be defective? Check and see if both cores are working.

    CPU Z sees both cores. Computer works great an all i have no complaints, it is just strange that i get a 2.3 WEI score on this processor.... i think my atom netbook gets better score.

    Check the BIOS (reset to factory defaults if you would like), making sure that both cores are enabled. If a core is disabled in the BIOS, CPU-Z probably won't know about it.

    How does the Task Manager graph look when your CPU is idle? Are there 2 graphs?

    If the log file you posted was during a WEI test then you might have something running on your computer that is fully loading one core of your CPU. Does CPU-Z show 2 cores and 2 threads? Some people accidentally go into msconfig and disable half of their CPU. Make sure that under the Boot tab that Number of processors is not checked and then reboot so Windows can find both cores of your CPU if you are having this problem.

    i got rid of that laptop, picked up another one, we shall see if it does the same.
