E6400 display problem?

    Unfortunately it does seem you got a bad panel. You should call Dell when you can.

    what should i tell them?
    "im not happy with the display, swap my machine"?

    My experience with Dell support has been great. I advise you to be polite, if you get angry you will only manage to get them angry and that is not good for you.

    I would start with "my display is very dim and the colors are horrible, what can I do to improve this?" and work from there. You should have on-site support (i.e. they should send a tech to your home), so if you see that over the phone you cannot fix the problem, ask them (politely) to send someone over.

    It is very unlikely that they will swap your machine, but they may and probably will swap your display panel if it indeed has a problem. Don't worry, the tech that came to my place to replace the screen lid (which involves removing the panel) did it in half an hour and knew what he was doing.

    well, i really like dell machines...
    but dell service in Israel is horrible, except for one guy that was super nice and professional...
    the dell Israel policy is basicly "blame the customer"
