E5500 and E6500 battery life

    It was actually 3 hour 57 min until turn-off on my 6500.

    The brightness however, was 100%, as I did not realize that after reboot it went back to my default brightness setting (100%) instead of the lower level that I had changed it to manually.

    The LED screen is awesome.

    Thanks for the update Marblehead. If you got ~4 hours at 100% I wonder if closer to 5 hours would be possible at a reduced setting. I was just getting ready to call and change the 6 cell to the 9 cell but if close to 5 hours it possible with wireless surfing I could live with that as I'd really rather not have the battery stick out the back.

    New report......5 hours 2 min at 50% brightness.

    Now if I can figure out why it doesn't hibernate......
