    Hello, new owner of E6400 and loving it so far. Thanks for all the great info here.

    There are apparently 2 models of the E Port Plus Replicators; model YP021 and model YP126. Does anybody know what the difference between the 2 are besides the prices (the YP126 is much more expensive)? Are they both compatible with all E Series Latitudes?

    I don't know is the short answer. I do know that there are 2 E-Ports though - one being more expensive than the other. The more expensive one has PS2 sockets and more DVI ports etc. And they are both compatible with the E series and also the M6400. The more expensive one is part number YP021, but I have no idea what the YP26 is - I can't find a link from Dell for that one.

    <update>

    The YP126 appears to be on the US sites and is priced in $, the other is priced in £ - might that be the price diffrence that you are seeing?

    It stinks that the e port plus with the 210w is 3-5weeks, I wanted to nab that, the ultrasharp monitor/docking station stand and a 2407wfp.

    My 130W with the ePort Plus runs warm but not hot. I don't have my battery attached and am using dual monitors. I don't know why you would need a larger power supply.

    Thanks guys. I found an e port plus replicator here for $69 + shipping. Note that the power adapter is not included but still a pretty good deal.

    Very good deal, been waiting for some 3rd party retailers to carry them.

    Yes.

    Thats the point :). I'm running two monitors on my regular E Port.

    Does anyone know how many USB ports there actually are for the E-Port and the E-Port plus? In the technical specs., it seems that there are only 2 USB ports? Is that really the case (seems so few)? I have read on some reviews that, at least for the E-Port plus, there are 3 additional USB ports on the side, bringing the total to 5 USB ports. Is that the same for the E-Port?

    I intend to plug in quite a few items, including (1) USB for wireless keyboard; (2) USB for wireless mouse; (3) USB for printer; (4) USB for monitor; and (5) USB for external harddrive. If the E-Port (not the plus, since I don't need the legacy ports) only has 2 USB ports, then it seems kinda pointless to get it, since I would have to plug in the rest of the peripherals to the laptop itself?

    Am I missing something here? Thanks!

    p.s. This question relates to E6400 or E6500, which I think is what I will end up getting [though the Studio XPS16 was mightly tempting as well)....
