yeh ive got a 400gb drive which gives some serious mbps in vista copying an iso over of a game wll impress the esata caddy i have come with the little 5vdc connection from the usb plugs

what are these new ones you speak of which should be neater ?

im half temped to make my own cabe and open up the laptop trace down a 5v line probably from the usb ports as there easy to solder and pop out a live an neutral thin cable and heatshrink it togetherto keet it neat

or i will mod my current caddy and make my own custom connector on the caddy that will take the power and the signal lines and then they only split just at the esata an usb port or ......

i could make my own caddy with some decent powered li-ion batterys from old mobiles and put them in series to get the voltage and use the powercable as a charge circuit and and backup power when the batterys die , will just have to do some current draw calculations to see if its feasable

any other ideas ladys send them on

The X-25e is SLC. I think it's shipping now. About $100 USD more than the regular X-25 (X-25e specs)

I have two of the Intel 80GB SSD's ready to put in my 6400 that should be shipping today or tomorrow (its in boxing). Got one of them off eBay and the other from beachaudio.com

I'll also be able to post some pics of the M6400 next to a M4400 for size comparisons.

I can't find the Intel SSD on beachaudio.com. Do you have a link?
