Dell's corporate class laptops are pretty decent

    This is funny because Dell is more known for their corporate/business systems and servers than for their consumer LOB.... lol

    That's good to hear. My work is giving me a new Latitude in September, either an E6400 or a 6500; not sure which one to go for.

    The thing that's a bit of a concern is the GPU; either the integrated M4500HD or NVidia NVS160M; I've heard good things about neither one. Not that I'm a gamer or anything but I thought I'd get better options that these two. :(

    Yeah the GPU's in the latitudes are all entry level really. They do they job fine though if you're not playing heavy games. Overall both are very nice systems and if you don't need the Quadro card i'd go for the integrated option which will give you lower temps and longer battery time.

    I've been loving my D630 since i got it in Nov. 07! Very nice and sturdy! I fully expect it to last 3+ more years of school with little trouble :D
