Dell Vostro 1500 not turning ON

Is it cold enough to have condensation on the laptop? That would definitely affect it.

Also, try re-seating the RAM.

No, in my opinion it's not cold enaugh but it's colder that during the day. In the day it's about 22-23 and in the night it's about 19-20 in my room. I checked the ram many times and it's definetly not ram problem because I even change them. I used to have oryginal RAM form dell, then I had kingston 2x1GB 667 CL5 and now I have Kingston HyperX 2x2GB 667 CL4. What is more, the motherboard was changed 3 times in the services. The panel with the buttons was also changed.

 

Hi Michal..Were you able to resolve this problem in your Dell Vostro 1500? I am facing the same problem. On pressing the power button, the light blinks once and fades away. No CPU, No HD.

No, I haven't found the solution. In my case the motherboard was changed few times, and GPU and RAM. What is extremaly strange is that it happens ONLY in one of my places where I'm staing. In my house in city "A" the problem is every time I'm there but in my apartment in city "B" there is no problem... Is this some kind of magic or what??!!
