Thanks mate, but shouldn't it say IPS explicitly in the description?

In the following thread, a user has reported that there is also a TN RGB panel for m6700. I have been searching on the internet for more on this, but there is almost no info on m6700's RGB TN panel.

I don't think that this post is correct. I've never heard of a RGB-LED screen for the M6700 that is not the IPS panel. I've had my M6700 since launch and been active in this area of the forum for the whole time.

The LG WLED TN panel that shipped with the M6700 is actually quite good for a TN panel. (It's what I have and I've never seen another one that compares to it.)

It's a good TN panel, comparing to the IPS on my Precision 3510 I can say it's similar with a weaker viewing angle, however the IPS panel on my Precision 3510 is one of the worst IPS panel for laptop.
Comparing the TN panel of my M6700 to the new IPS 4k panel I put in it, it's day and night, color accurency and contrast are so much better, not even talking about the resolution which is for times better.

Are you referring to RGB TN or WLED TN?

Well just received my 6700 today though it is a second attempt as the previous one was from a shady seller who trashed up big time r.i.p it was a covet edition. Anyway when this machine came in I noticed the display panel isn't original and apparently the previous owner had installed a 3D 120hz samsung panel (sec5044). Going from the RGB in the M17x R2 to this is going to take some time to adjust.

The 3D 120Hz Samsung panel was an option available to purchase in this machine when it originally shipped. This could be an original panel.

You were sold a covet edition with a normal screen? Oh, and once you go RGB, you never want to go back. Kind of like OLED. Maybe it's just me. I love rich colors.

Two machines, the first one had to be sent back as it didn't match the description but worse the screen was dead and the board had its own problems then there was the damage from whoever had the machine prior. The second one was a different purchase from a different seller and like it so far. Was pretty pissed though about that poor covet edition and was clearly used as a parts machine so thankfully got refunded after sending it back.

I have never seen a covet on sale for almost a year. I have been actively hunting it, but perhaps it's not possible in this lifetime. RGBs on other hand are much more easily available. I imagine it's pretty easy to convert a normal m6700 to RGB one, provided the parts are available.
