Oh ok. So, you've become a small business customer & got a Dell Business Credit account while ordering you M6700 or M6600, correct?

Hey you covet owners, were any of you able to order your cover with the FIPS Compliant Fingerprint Reader? I don't see that option on their website nor the covet itself.

I'm pretty sure it comes bundled as a part of the package.

Like Krane said and I confirm it, it's already included in the package? There's not much option you can change on the covet from the website, when you talk to a representative they make the changes that you need, like changing the processor.

Oh alright, thank you. Oh yeah, will the covet receive the touch screen option in October/November right?

The problem is the price for the K5000M. I will use the machine for work (CAD, Cinema 4D and some office stuff) + at home for some gaming etc.. For the work the 680 GTX should be good enough and also good enough for gaming at home so its much cheaper then the K5000M, but the warranty is a problem i think :/.

The assuming is that you're using this machine for work and/or business. In that instance, it just needs to work reliably.

The CUDA card is that assurance of that. It is the professional or heavy duty version card. If you were going into battle, chances are, you'd want that extra layer of protection despite the extra cost.

It's high end, that should suffice up to 95% of users, even this level. The rest just gets you into the ridiculous category. Few people short of Hollywood productions will ever max that out.

OK, I had a look when I put an SSD into my M6700. I put it in the secondary drive bay — the one that does not slide out the side of the machine. The bay has a sled; you put the drive in the sled and lock it down with screws. Both the 9mm OCZ Vertex 3 and 7mm Samsung 830 fit in that bay just fine. The screw holes are in the same place for both drives. I was pleased to discover that Dell provides the screws. They are in four spare holes next to the drive bay.

I was in a hurry, so I didn't look at the primary drive bay. According to the User's Manual, it supports both 7mm and 9mm drives too. Page 18 says "A rubber filler is installed to the hard-drive bracket for 7mm hard drives."
