Oh, wow, that worked instantly. It's recognizing the drive for now, thanks. :)

My USB3.0 drives are from Samsung, I guess I'll have a look for the firmware of those drives.

<del>I bought this DVD call "reinstallation DVD Windows 7 Professionnal SP1 64-bit" laptop.

After re-installing/ fixing win 7. It ended up fixing the problem with those windows always in front of everyone.

The initial purpose of the DVD was to get my OS in English and not French.
I thought I could just re-install and that would of work. But no, I need win ultimate.
The pro support send me that DVD so I could format my computer and start all over again!!!!</del>

    UPDATE
a few hours later and the problem is back!!!

I have had this problem with focus weirdness between windows, about a week ago I closed and do not run PremierColor anymore - problem has gone away completely!

That brings my back first suspicion of PremierColor being the cause, I've closed PremierColor ever since you posted that, and set it to not start at boot anymore.

Same, no issues up to now, the past 48 hours.

Exactly, I have thought of closing PremierColor to see if that was the cause, but haven't done it until Awalt posted, confirming it solves the issue.
I considered closing it, but didn't for the reason that it isn't the right solution to this problem, however I feel forced to continue this way, since it's been limiting the ability to work with the computer.

I still highly suspect the Display Splitter window management feature inside PremierColor, but unfortunately there just isn't any way to disable that.

    Hi all,

I just discovered a slight blue corner tint in the lower right corner. I really thought the M6700 IPS displays don't have such problems :(

    Cheers,
    Alex

Who knows what percentage quality control Dell has on its screen. Certainly not 100%. Nevertheless, if screen quality is important to you (its critical to me) then sen it back and tell them to correct it. I need critical accuracy for my work.

Incidentally, I'd like to order my machine today and become a full-fledged member, but my account won't regenerate until mid January. I'll miss all the holiday specials and I need a boatload of peripherals to make this thing work. Oh, the decisions.

    Hi all,

The notebook has just arrived, but when tilted, it sounds as if a little screw rolls around. What would you do?

It should not do that. If you feel up for it, start taking it apart and see if you can find the culprit. (There are tear-down instructions in the manual on the Dell support site.) Otherwise, call Dell and have them send a tech.
