It looks like Dell Australia is offering the Core i7-3940XM in their Alienware machines. Hopefully the m6700 will have it as an option soon.

I have calibrated my display, if you let me know what software you used to post these images I would be happy to post the calibrated results from my 6700. I used Spyder4Pro to calibrate, but I am not a calibration/color genius but if I can help pass info along I will!

I am seeing issues with the 305 drivers from Nvidia and the way it interacts with the PremierColor application. It will sometimes have the external desktop screen stuck in a desaturated state, and once did the same on the laptop's panel. Only fix was a "clean" reinstall of the graphics card driver.

I would use the "Default" color space instead of sRGB. I usually leave it set to "Full", but with the 305 drivers, there are some issues with posterization.

does the "default" color space in premier color correspond to the icc profile set in windows color management panel ?

This is ONLY with the NON DELL Nvidia drivers. There is NO posterization with the Dell Nvidia drivers. All of the modes work perfectly. This is why I am using Dell's drivers - Nvidia's are not ready.

Sorry for the bold fest there :)

    I used ChromaPure.

    Nope, sorry.

Not seeing any problems on sRGB, using NVIDIA drivers. Maybe because I reformatted?

Also, Default is significantly different/wider than sRGB. For me, they're not interchangeable.

My best guess is that Default is sort of like disabling the PremierColor software.

If you do not run the PremierColor software at all, the system defaults to a sort of sRGB mode. This is new to the M6700. On the M6600 the Default mode was the same as not running PremierColor at all - at least I think it was.

Can you post a link to, or email your Color Profile file .icc?

If so it would be much appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!
