@Bokeh or some other already owner : I just received my M4700 today with the IPS screen, looks beautiful, should be also a new panel I read somewhere so I will do some measurements soon with an i1pro. But what I wanted to ask : There is hardly any software on the machine which is nice but I read somewhere that the IPS screens should have an option to switch between AdobeRGB and sRGB. Was such software installed on the M6700 with IPS??

Never mind about that, I don't need software, I need a tech.
I have really heavy (corner) tint problems on the 4700, unacceptable for doing color critical work at all, because the tint (magenta) is not only in the corners, left down corner is a bit greenish, just as an information. Will call Dell Germany now.

got email from Dell. order status for my M4700 changed to "shipped" and estimated delivery date changed form August 20th to August 13th.

2 days ago i called them to ask if maybe it will ship faster than the August 20th delivery estimate and the guy said no. obviously like all phone support people that guy had no clue.

this created a bit of a problem for me because i needed to order some things for the laptop. i thought i still had 2 weeks but turns out i only have 5 days so i was forced to pay for 2 day shipping for those items.

i can't say i am upset that it shipped faster LOL but i do wish they gave me a better estimate.

After you paid the order, the way the calculate the delivery ship time is to add 3 or 4 weeks.
Nobody, at Dell, can affirm you if the laptop will be shipped fast or not, they just can't^^ to avoid any problem, they said "no".

All cards are designed and tested for stability. I have a FX880M in my W510, which is a PRO card as well but it had its share of issues from day 1. Not saying the K5000M is doomed to have problems but I just don't trust in Nvidia products, that's all.
