Wow am I confused by all this lol. Here's what I know:
    1. Ordered my 6700 with a Primary Storage and only 1 drive -> 512GB 2.5" (SATA3) Mobility Solid State Drive.
    2. There were no errors in attempting this configuration, I submitted it and it was approved without problem.
    3. I have a similar configuration on a 6600 - 1 drive, solid state/SSD, 512GB
    4. Estimated delivery date shows as Aug. 15; status is "In Production"

I guess I'll wait and see what Bokeh shows in his performance tests.

=> Well, there is no errors so, it a "basic" SSD, like any one we find in every shop^^ a normal 2.5" SSD (same format than the HDD 2.5").
    That's not a mSATA SSD ;)

In addition to that, the 2.5" drive should indeed operate at SATA-3 speed.

It's all evolving. Only just a few short years back Intel introduced an SSD that was limited to less than 100GB. Now in it's third generation, it up to 512.

Hopefully it won't be too much longer before even that holding pattern is surmounted and we approach the coveted 1TB point. In any event, I think the biggest obstacle at the moment is price rather than technology. We should all keep that in mind.

    Hey guys,
Please forgive my ignorance, but will the M6700 have a touch screen option (like the M6600)?

Is the M6700 keyboard/touchpad better than the m6600 keyboard/touchpad? Not that it's a big deal or anything.

Actually it was a big deal I can remember all the discord over the keyboard flex. So far this go-round I haven't heard anything negative about it yet. A review from PC Pro magazine made the following comment:

The trackpad, trackpoint and buttons are responsive, and the keyboard combines a solid base with a comfortable key action that’s a dream to type on – it’s soft, but very positive and with plenty of travel.

If you can believe that, then the folks at Dell must have really paid attention to users comments and gotten it right this time.

CORRECTION: PC PRO NOT LAPTOP MAG
