I haven't had any problems with the HDMI, VGA, or Display Port ports with the RX 560D, and I suspect the same for the WX 4150. The only issue I can think of is some wonky fan control on the GPU since the laptop's BIOS doesn't recognize it. The fan can work fine, but you may need a 3rd party software to get the desired fan control you want.

Hi, I had this issue as well with a M2200 going into my M4700 laptop. I ended up having to return mine and purchase one from a Dell machine. The Dell M2200 works flawlessly and seamlessly - it was basically plug & play with some paste in between :D

I tried lots of versions of NVFlash before giving up so you may want to try that as well, but in my case they all failed to run due to the proprietary software from HP (actually, they seemed to be using a modified vbios from a desktop M2000 - check my thread for more info). It's probably possible to flash the vbios somehow, but I suspect you'd have to either reverse engineer one of the HP Vbios flash programs or do it without the card being plugged into the computer somehow (that's beyond me, so you'll have to ask others for help there).

    Good luck

Did you have any heat issues with the default fan curve?

It's been a while since I stressed it, but I don't ever recall it overheating on the default fan curve. That said, I did need to use HWInfo to adjust its fan curve to get better performance.

    1. 18.11.2 driver (IE: the one released in early November)
    2. Nope.
    3. I don't have the time to do so right now.
EDIT: Found the time to upload vBIOS on TechPowerUp (through GPU-Z). Also running the latest AMD driver as the previous ones had high idle and "can't show control panel" bugs.

Alright, WX 4150 is in, however I cannot get laptop to give any video now since installing card. Lights come on, CPU fan spins up and HDD activity light flashes so I think it's actually powering up and booting, just not giving any video signal to laptop screen or externally (VGA or HDMI). Any ideas? Do I need to flash a lower system BIOS (I am on latest, A25 I think).

UPDATE - I can get video out to an external monitor via VGA if I unplug the internal screen. Looks like its running off Intel HD 4600 tho and not the graphics card.

Sounds like you're using an LVDS screen like I am. You have to enable Switchable Graphics in the BIOS. You can only run off the WX 4150 if you have an eDP screen or off the HDMI and DP ports.

Darn. I have the 4K screen model, I thought that required it was eDP?

Do you know what system BIOS version your machine is running?

Oh in that case, disregard what I said.
I'm using A25 as well. However, if nothing is showing up on any of the ports I mentioned, I would suggest reseating the video card first. Or at least check if it is detected in the BIOS (even if the BIOS doesn't recognze it by name, something should show up for it).
