They only exist as registered memory right now (mostly used in servers, and in some higher end desktop workstations); regular desktop/laptop DDR3 memory can only do 8gb max. Anything bigger requires DDR4; not clear whether it will be usable starting with Broadwell (2014) or only on Skylake (2015)

It will not. JEDEC specs for DDR3 don't show the possibility of 16gb SO-DIMMs; it's possible that someone will come up with one anyway, but the smart money would not be to bet on it.

    Dear Bokeh,

Can you try some rescue software, such as trueimage and ghost, and see how they works with QHD+ display?
I am also interested in how linux works with this display.
Is the font visible in the command line mode?
It will be too bad if our system recovery plans don't work when we need it.
    Thank you.

Hello to all, that want an anti-glare option!

Maybe you can vote for it on DELL's IdeaStorm Website:

Are there people that don't want an anti-glare option? Never heard anyone say, "I can't get enough glare!"

Ha! Well check out the post I made above about a potential touchscreen fix. Already got one confirmation that it fixes the issue in the XPS 15 thread.

    Does M3800 support Intel VT-d?
Can anyone check whether there is an option in the BIOS?
