I can only say that I've been having vague problems with Chrome for some time - not causing system crashes but just not functioning as it should... so much so that I'm using EDGE for certain sites at the moment *yikes!*.

Not sure whether to blame Chrome or Win10 o_O

Hi everyone. I seem to be having issues where my m3800 crashes on its own while attempting to sleep. It appears to have begun occuring after windows 10 automatically installed KB4013418 the other day. My installation of Win 10 is clean and about two weeks old. Anyone else experiencing this issue? I am running latest bios.

Crap OS, and Dell's crap video cards that crash constantly. 50/50, good luck.

@KamaL, did you resolve this issue? I started having it with my m3800 about a month ago. A clean install of windows 10 fixed it for about a week and then a windows update caused it to start happening again. For me, the issue is the laptop goes to sleep fine but when it wakes itself 180 mins later (windows default power plan) to put itself into hibernate, it crashes. If i manually put it into hibernate, it works fine. Its the automatic transition from sleep to hibernate that is the issue. Whats odd for me is that I bought this laptop used in Feb 2016 and used it for almost a year with win 10 and never had the issue and it just started for me. After my clean install at the beginning of march, Windows logs show a series of updates that installed themselves automatically and after that point, I have the hibernate crash. Really frustrating as you loose all of your open work.

Im working with 'tier 2' microsoft support of this trying to get somewhere. Not really confident that I will but im trying.

    Edit: Just found this post

    http://mirnu.com/2016/09/27/solved-dell-precision-m3800-sleep-issue-not-wake-sleep/

Im going to try his solution in the bottom of enabling "USB Wake Support" in BIOS and will see if it helps.

I don't use hibernate so I can't tell about that.
In the end what solved was changing settings about usb in bios. I don't remember if it was the USB wake support, but that fixes the issue and now the laptop doesn't restart when closing the lid.

Is anyone else having an issue with their touchpad being way too stiff and hard to push down on left-clicks? It seems like the only solution is to completely remove the 2 torx bottom cover screws by the touchpad in order for it to function correctly. Of course the problem with that is that the bottom cover is now open in that area and it looks ridiculous.

Is the battery swelling? It's a rare, but not unknown, problem.

It doesn't appear to be. I have taken it out numerous times and the battery looks completely fine to me. Maybe it is and I just can't recognize it, but looking at it and feeling it, that doesn't appear to be the case. That link does however sound exactly like my issue. Maybe that is the problem...
