Maybe you might try the new WiFi card used in the updated M3800, I'm speaking of Dell AC 1560.

Thank you. I was not aware that there was an updated M3800. I will verify with Dell Tech to see if they have tried the Dell AC 1560. I do hard wire when I can, but I use the lap top for meetings and traveling so I need the WiFi to work.

The latest drivers helped for me, but I get the feeling that the aerial in the machine may not be very good. So I carry around a separate wifi dongle for situations where the wifi signal is weak. It's a bit of a annoyance but its cheap and doesn't add much to the weight.

For what it's worth, given the troubleshooting steps you report, I would look into the possibility of a software problem. You do not seem too computer savvy, so you may want to get some competent help with this. I would start by updating the WiFi drivers. That's not too hard to do, and you can ask for help here if you need it, including the best drivers to use and where to get them from. However, I would not be surprised if a complete OS reinstall is needed to solve your issues.

    Hey guys,

I ordered keys for the XPS 15, but they don't fit the precision m3800. Does anyone know where I can find keys/a replacement keyboard for the precision m3800?

    Thanks!

Have you contacted Dell support? If it is not under covered by your warranty I'm sure they would at least sell you a replacement keyboard. Probably not the individual key caps though.

I'm surprised the keys for an XPS15 don't fit in the M3800 - I thought the units were pretty much identical except the motherboard. Are you sure you got keys for a 15" XPS 9530?
