I'm in the market for a laptop sleeve for the M3800. Anyone have any recommendations?

I'm kind of looking at the Incase Sleeve Plus for the Macbook Pro 15, but am afraid that it might not fit the laptop very well...

Absolutely no back bleed here. In fact, when I was troubleshooting a connection issue it was difficult to tell if the screen was actually on, or simply receiving an all-black signal. None of my displays, even the reference graphics, show that depth of black.

Some of the early shipping displays are having some QC issues and Dell will quickly replace.

    hello everybody!

reading here for a while now and decided to sign up.

I'm looking for some CAD users here who can tell me some experiences with inventor 2014 or solidworks on the M3800. I'm still working on a precision M6400 with a quadro fx 2700 in it which is absolutely great but since Inventor 2014 I noticed some performance weakness.

As I needed a new workstation for university and home production I ordered a M3800 with qhd+ and 256 gb ssd and the additional 500 gb hybrid hard drive. In my opinion this configuration is perfect for every day use and mid range modelling.

Ordered mine on 23.12.2013, delivery date was 3.2.2014 till yesterday. I was looking at my order status and got shocked as I read my order was cancelled! After some chatting with Dell I got the information that there are problems with my configuration and my new delivery date is now 18.3.2014!
This is really frustrating and I can't or don't want to understand why this is taking so much time?

It is not due to the scrolling but I noticed that somehow when I scroll through the noise changes. Should I be worried?

Weird, mine was off or on - didn't see the dim state. I sent the unit back already, but I'll check my next one to make sure. If you say there is, I believe you - it may have something to do with the defective unit I received.

    Thanks!

I contacted our Rep. With all the shipping confusion and the defective unit i received, I mentioned it to him and asked politely if he could upgrade my mSata from 256 to 512 instead for all the hassle. He agreed and I now have a new order placed for the same original price. I just have to wait until March for the unit to arrive, it looks like.

Is Adobe getting around to fixing their apps?

I happened to fire up Illustrator 17.1 (recently updated) this afternoon and saw this message pop up. Haven't tried actually changing the DPI scaling in Windows to see if it made a difference, but I can look into it this evening. Though I figure it would be better for you folks who actually have a high-DPI display to try.

I am having several issues with the touchpad and unexpected shutdowns. Often upon waking my touchpad won't work until I turn it off and on again using the touchscreen. For a while this was fixed after installing the latest driver, but the problem has returned. In addition, often after closing my computer and leaving it for several hours, I will open the lid only to see that the computer has unexpectedly shutdown and must recover. Windows attempts to check for something that has caused the problem but then never delivers any results. Has anyone had similar issues?
