yes the 7710 can accomdate up to three m.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs. Totalling up to 3TB. The one that installs in the 2.5 bay requires an interposer adapter but with no reduction in performance.

And Samsung is soon releasing a 2TB 960 PRO m.2 NVMe PCIe:
    Sequential Read 3500 MB/s
    Sequential Write 2100 MB/s
*960 Pro is not OEM however and not available through Dell.

Should be straightforward to upgrade the GPU if you are doing NVIDIA to NVIDIA. As mentioned, sometimes they do different heatsinks for AMD vs NVIDIA. Not sure about the 7710, but I do see an "NV" sticker on the GPU heatsink in the picture above.

    Some thoughts:
    * The minimum NVIDIA GPU sold in the 7710 is the M3000M, so the best upgrade you could hope for is M3000M->M5000M
    * If the M5000M card that you get is not one originally meant for Dell (for instance you get the HP one), you might have to do some INF modding to get the drivers to load

I noticed that my AC plug into my 7710 is a little bit loose fitting, meaning that it can unplug unexpectedly if my leg or foot bumps the wire (when I'm actually using it on my lap). It is most often docked to the eport so I don't often use the plug at all into the 7710. In other words, I don't think it is from overuse.

I'm going to open up the laptop this weekend to examine the fitment with that internal plug. I've tried two different adapters (same type) and both fit loosely, but on our other twin 7710 the plugs are quite snug. Not sure what the solution might be but I'm hoping that the plug wire that is inside the 7710 (pictured) just needs tightening or adjusted for snugger ac fit.

@hoang_tien1986 ,Probably just a little excess adhesive there or slight imperfections in plastic bezel. In real life it is not perceivable and more important, the bezel is not lifting away. Here is what mine looks like and has slightest appearance of that. But in 2nd photo you cannot even notice unless zooming in very close.

I finally got around to trying this. I removed the aluminum sheet metal clip/spring pictured above in the far lower right corner that is held in with the one phillip screw. I bent that clip/spring a little to apply more downward force on that plug and reinstalled it. Seems to have helped by offsetting the connector from the hole/opening of the case body thus allowing the male ac adapter that plugs into that female connection to fit a little tighter. Might be my imagination or wishful thinking, but seems to have helped a little. If it continues to be a problem (continues to be loose and becoming unplugged), I'll request a replacement connector from Dell under warranty. Like I said before, this doesn't happen on our other 7710 and only on this particular one. And it happens regardless which of the four AC adapters I try using that I have.

*Edit: in "laptop" use, I tend to keep kicking the plug out with my foot or maybe I squirm too much. I kicked the plug out twice today. I use this quite often when in situations like in a doctors waiting room or in offices where I don't have a desk... with this sitting on my lap. I'm going to call Dell, explain what I'm experiencing, and see if they will ship me a replacement connector (the one that lives inside the laptop).

And I must say, this keyboard is wonderful for typing.

Today I briefly switched to an older Dell Studio 15 1558, and in comparison, it was baaad. Squishy. Perhaps from it being old? who knows. But I love the keyboard action on the new precision. My favorite is still my external mx blackbird cherry brown. 2nd fave is external RGB k65 Cherry Red. But the laptop keyboard is smoother typing than either of them. I like the others because they have dedicated Home, End, etc and I use them more frequently (docked often), but the laptop keyboard still types smoother than they do.

I have a big question from this conversation. M5000M use MXM 3.0 B, ortherwise M2000m use MXM 3.0 A. There are many difference between these 2 PCI port. Is it easy to upgrade or you need to change the mainboard to upgrade from m2000m to m5000m

The difference between MXM 3.0b and 3.0a is only the physical size of the card.

Precision 7710 can take either a 3.0b or 3.0a card. (Pretty sure that Dell only sold it with 3.0b cards... However, they are selling both types of cards in the 7720.) Precision 7510 can only take a 3.0a card, 3.0b does not fit.
