    It's just done it again.

3rd time today. I work in an office so need to lock the PC when I'm away from it. Every ****ing time I come back to it it's rebooted itself.

Consider using Event Viewer to see what triggered the reboot. This sounds pretty serious.

    Thanks.

There is nothing I can see in event viewer relating to the shutdown - only to the subsequent restart:

    Dell support are absolutely useless.

They are insisting on a "recording" of the issue. Apparently my description isn't sufficient....

Event Viewer tells you a memory dump file was created: this looks like a BSOD. Debug the dump file, and it should lead you closer to the root cause.

This app can give you some more information from the dump file.

This page details the specific error that you highlighted and what the different "parameters" mean. Could be GPU or GPU-driver related. (If you have graphics switching enabled, then you will need to do some work to determine if the Intel GPU or dGPU is responsible for the fault. Make sure that you are using the latest graphics drivers from Dell. Maybe try toggling graphics switching on or off, opposite of whatever you have it set to now, and see if that changes the behavior.)

    Thanks

When you say the latest graphics drivers from Dell... The latest driver for my RTX4000 on the Nvidia website is from a week or so ago. The latest one on the Dell site is from May 2020. I should be using the much older Dell one?

    Many thanks again

Normally the ones from NVIDIA are fine to use; however, I recommend trying them only if your system is solid/stable. When dealing with a stability issue like this I recommend sticking with the drivers that Dell has validated and posted, just to ensure that the issue isn’t because of non-OEM drivers.

Well, it seems your advice has been good! As you suggested, I installed the older Nvidia driver from the Dell website, and the issue has gone away. Thank you!

I guess I could install one of the Nvidia ones I had installed previously that worked fine (not the latest one), or I could just leave it as it is. What would you suggest? Safest just to leave it is as it is now, but will I be missing out on functionality offered by the newer drivers?

Thanks again - you've really saved me!

Hi, am I wrong or is the T1000 behaving above specs for a T1000?
