Oh, ok. i thought you meant to change something on notebook.

I have Yamaha Pianocraft system. I would need to check if it has USB input. Anyway one thing is to solve the problem (or somehow find workaround) but I would like to also confirm if there is something wrong with audio output on notebook..

my guess is that you're running headphone level outputs instead of line level outputs. When you plug your aux cable in, you should see a wave maxx pop-up dialogue asking what kind of device you plugged in and you should check external speakers to reduce the output voltage

    Re: Long POST Times

I’ve read some earlier messages in this thread about upgrading memory and the first boot afterwards might take more time, but it shouldn’t be every boot.

OOB for my 7740 with the factory 8GB non-ECC, I have a black screen for ~20 seconds before the Dell logo appears on every cold boot.

I have 2x32GB Crucial non-ECC that if I swap in one module for the 8GB, I see the same ~20 seconds with either module. If I put both modules in slots B/D, every cold boot is 30+ seconds of black screen before the Dell logo appears.

Bios system summary reports the correct memory. Bios is set for minimal Fast Boot and 0 second extended BIOS Post Time. I’ve ran the pre-boot diagnostics with the 8GB in slot B, both 32GB in slot B, and 64 combined in slots B/D and it reports 2000-0000 all clear.

It's reporting all good, but it seems excessive. I have an older Dell laptop where the POST black screen time is 4 seconds before the Dell logo appears.

Anyone else see such long POST times?
Not sure what else to look for because it seems to be related to the memory.

    Can this matter?

I mean i choose speakers and even then try with different setting but I wonder if this can cause any such problems on output..

    Hi,

If all goes as planned I will have an 7540 with I7-9750h and Quadro T1000 within a week.

It might be an option to have a 34 inch ultrawide screen monitor for home office, and I have a couple of questions I hope some of you might know the answer to.

It the monitor supports picture by picture (PBP) will I be able to connect the laptop to the monitor using two display outputs, and thereby run "dual-monitor" setup?

Does Quadro T1000 in any way, official or unofficial support G-sync compatible or Freesync?

    Thanks in advance.

If the monitor will take multiple inputs for PIP then I do not see why you could not connect multiple inputs from the Precision 7540 (or any other laptop that supports multiple display outputs).

Regarding G-Sync, for a while it was not working but I believe that @Ionising_Radiation found the Quadro card/driver supporting G-Sync more recently? It might work with newer NVIDIA drivers (450 series or later).

I now got the machine, and I have one more question, if I were to add a WWAN card, what models should I then go for, am in Denmark, if that matters.

    Thanks.
