I have only ever tested this configuration with 2x DisplayPort. You can use a USB-C to DisplayPort adapter for the second DisplayPort (I have tested this and it works). For regular use I am running off of the TB18DC dock.

HDMI "should" work if both the laptop and monitor support HDMI 2.0. I'm not sure if Dell monitors support this. (My 27" Dell 4K monitors definitely do not but they are a few years old at this point.) On the laptop side, it should work if the laptop is running off of the NVIDIA GPU (graphics switching turned off, or, "direct discrete output mode" turned on in the BIOS).

    Aaron44126,

Thanks for the reply. The Dell UP21718Q monitor supports the following:
    1 x DP (ver. 1.4)
    1 x mDP (ver. 1.4)
    2 x HDMI (ver. 2.0a)
    2 x USB 3.0 port - Upstream
    4 x USB 3.0 ports , including 2 x USB3.0 BC 1.2 charging capability at 2A (max)

However - I haven't been able to get the HDMI to work. I'm picking up a USB-C to displayport cable after work so I'll test tonight.

I'm trying to decide if I should get the TB18DC dock. I feel it would clean up things on the desk. Have they fixed some of the past issues with the dock?

    Thanks,
    Tim

There were two main dock issues. The USB issue was the worst and it is fixed. The power issue remains but it can be fixed with a BIOS setting (usually). I have details in the very first post in the 7530/7730 thread.
